Is Lampard the new David Platt?
well, Platt actually scored important goals for his country (vs Belgium, Cameroon & Italy in 1990) but otherwise I think the comparison is valid....
Maybe Lamps will head off to Italy? My fingers are crossed....
I never thought Platt was that good. He was one of those players like Lampard, who is effective at scoring goals but not a whole lot besides that. Maybe I'm being over critical.
