Never be too proud to take advice Rafa

What with Rafa’s receding hairline, Nicholas Cage gives him some advice on how to rebuff any future arguments from Slur Alex – I think the pic speaks for itself . The man made Ghost Rider for god sake, his advice is not to be guffawed at.*

*He made Ghost Rider, his arguments are to be guffawed at.**
** He still would have played Keane and Torres at Stoke though.

Later, JJ

Rafa, Rafa, Rafa.

I'll keep it short and sweet:

1. Lucas is terrible and should never play again, surely someone else could do a job in centre mid if xabi is out. e.g. gerrard or even kuyt or A.N.Other from reserves?

2. Yes Robbie has been average at best, but at least throw him on with 20 mins to go for fecks sake

3. Why was Torres not playing? I understand he's not fully fit, and he did nothing when he came on, but a half fit Torres is still better than Kuyt

Agree with your points except the first one boss. Lucas is a decent player but got very little support from an out of sorts mascherano and a very out of sorts Gerrard.

I think people are picking on the easy and obvious target (and in the case of most of the media it's a question of why not blame the guy who isn't english and who isn't the argentina captain). In reality, it was actually the two experienced men who let the side down and made Leiva do all the work.

4-4-2 should have been employed throughout though, dropping masch to the bench, gerrard back in the middle with keane and kuyt to start if torres still wasn't fully fit.

Getting off the Liverpool point for a second lads, I just read Oliver Holts assesment of Chelseas performance yesterday. He starts off ok, Ballack and Drogba were shocking(they were!),He claims the fight and edge is gone from them as a team(ok so far). Then he tries to say that the only 3 Chelski men that did anything all day were.......can you guess??? Yup, JT, Lamps and little Joey Cole!!!!! He also tried to blame Ballack for Terry falling asleep for Vidics goal! Lampard was shite and he was still probably Chelseas best player, as for Cole, I can't recall him touching the ball before he was dragged off in disgrace. I FUCKING HATE ENGLISH JOURNALISTS WITH THEIR WARPED SENSE OF PATRIROTISM!!!!!!
p.s. Thanks 'Rafa', I have'nt laughed so much in ages you fat,Spanish muppet!!!!!!
Regards, LUHG.
p.p.s. Lucas is potentially the best young midfielder in the world, fact! Ha,Ha,Ha.

PATRIOTISM!!!!

I vote for this to become a new word in the dictionary: PATRIROTISM - def patriotism that causes internal rotting.

speaking of journos - will we all be buying the daily mail to read Martin Samuel's learned opinion?

hey lads,
It was a bad slip-up from liverpool in the circumstances of Rafa's ill-advised rant. Stoke away isnt easy - as Arsenal and Utd have found - but it was more the performance and lack of ambition from manager that made it a bad weekend. We now know exactly what Rafa think of Robbie Keane - very, very little - which of course begs the questions: what was with spending 20m on him so?
On the other game, chelsea were terrible, United were dominant and made a statement. the next 6/7 games will tell a lot.

I invented a new word?? Only English tabloid journos can suffer from this affliction, cool! What a productive day!!!LUHG.

"rafa da gafa"......doubt it!l'pool have definetly peaked to early, while united have been off winning da world club champo so that they can say they're goin for 5 this year!!!(insert english word for 5 trophies in 1 year?!?)..

If chelski are really in trouble is there any chance of them lookin over there shoulders?? everton quietly tipping away, although there next 4 fixtures will define there season...

last but not least was it my imagination or was gomez(spurs) wearing a gum shield over the weekend??

Gomes wears a gumshield alright, it adds a little more wierdness to that oddly shaped face of his.

Considering how often he ploughs into his own teammates it's probably a decent idea though.

I'm with JJ on Lucas. He was good against PSV, Preston, Bolton and great against Newcastle. His pass for Gerrard's second goal was sublime. Admittedly, he wasn't as good against Stoke but nobody else performed either. Mascherano has been poor for a while and was worse than Lucas against Stoke.
Wouldn't agree that Livepool have peaked too early unless you count the newcastle game. I don't think we've really gotten going at all this season but I'm hoping that the return of Torres and the threat that he poses should help with that.

Rooney out with a hamstring just as Torres comes back. Interesting few weeks ahead, ronaldo will have to up his game from the pasive interest he's shown thus far this season.

I think it's fair to say United hav'nt even started yet(and I'm still not convinced they will get going at all!). The amount of 1-0s so far this season is testament to that. I think the Rooney injury gives Tevez a chance for 3 or 4 games in a row and he should benefit from that, unless he's injured himself of course! If
United are to win the league then Berbatov has to pull the finger out at some stage, surely!
LUHG.
p.s.I'm not convinced Chelsea are out of it either, thay have too many good players and about 4 months to get back the ground and form they've lost.

Me too doesn't like Lucas at all! Anyone could be better than him according to what I think....
