Well folks, it's been a good Tuesday. I woke up this morning and the sun was shining, I went into work then skived off for a while to write a blog on Nicolas Bendtner being shite and then the cherry on top of that day came from the folks over at the Irish Blog Awards. As the old Kurgan saying goes “There can be only one”… (yes, my Highlander obsession is getting out of hand).

Congrats on the award though thought ye lads should be up for the Arts and Culture section aswell. Nothing so artistic as the pic of that Eduardo tackle and accompanying quote, and the pods were a social document, mainly on the price of cider but nevertheless. 1st time I've seen that Adebayor quote and it almost makes me like the guy even though he's another super-ego in shorts. Ryan Giggs? He's only had a handful of good performances this year right? I know old man Scholes is doing his best to make Giggs look youthful but player of the year? Vidic you can see but if Giggs gets it then we might have to start believing that paranoid little Buddha Benitez that Sir Alex controls EVERYTHInG in England
i think we just proved it's not what you know, but who you know.
though I don't know anyone, so I'm assuming JJ has be schmoozing judges somewhere.
Congrats fellas, blog is always an entertaining read although I don't post as often as I should!
Totally unrelated, but that Sylvester Stallone/Dolph Lundgren/Mickey Rourke action movie lined up for 2010 which someone mentioned a few weeks back just got a whole heap of Govenator attached to it: http://www.empireonline.com/news/story.asp?NID=24236
I'm in line already.
Soupnazi - this Giggs bandwagon is shameful and thanks for pointing it out. I think in the main it's because Rooney has been out and the brit press haven't had a familiar name to attach united's success to. Vidic - too eastern european, Ronaldo - last year's news, Berbatov - 'he dunt run like folk shud run int this league I tell thee'.
If Scholes had of scored the winner against West Ham we'd have all the shite about him instead. I really do hate how unfuckingbelievably predictable the press across the water can be, from tabloids to the wheezing, whining shite that drips from Daniel Taylor's pen whenever he climbs out from Fergie's arse. Kevin McCarra and assorted windbags like Powell, Lawton, Samuel all get sucked in as well.
i know they are all at it, but the times really jump on whatever bandwagon is going - on monday they had a 'should giggs be named player of the year?' debate. FFS
S'pose you lot wud just give it to $tevie me again! Although he's probably out of the running now cos he blatantly faked a hamstring tear to get out of playing for England last week. He's expected fit for the city game on Sunday, the fastest recovery ever from such an injury, fucking superman!!!Forget player of the year,he should get a fucking Oscar as well!
LUHG.
Yeah... international player getting an injury around the time of a meaningless friendly... well, not to put too fine a point on this but United invented that tactic chief. Hello Ryan Giggs throughout the '90s, Wales fans saw the best of him eh?
At least Gerrard got the hamstring strain in front of the TV cameras unlike Giggs who seemed to get them during the warmdown after the United match before an international break.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!! You have to credit Benitez, fucking audacious!
And he's taking on all the big boys this season is'nt he? First the wizard and now Capello. Hope he knows what he's doing!
LUHG.
