Danger Here? Maybe not…

France it is then, full blog later but initial thoughts are that we can beat them over two legs – I can see Ireland scoring once in Paris against a suspect defence but the home leg will be huge, need a win there.

At the very least it means we get to hear Johnny Giles' unique pronunciation of 'Henry' (“we need to watch Enrae Bill”) a lot over the coming weeks…

Later, JJ

We can take em, they have been pretty rubbish so far in qualifying.

Well, second best outcome imo, so we can't grumble too much.

I'll just repeat what i've said before. With the way this Ireland teams allows the opposition to have the ball it's hard to see France not scoring in both legs.

Can we score more than them?

I take back anything I said about Liverpool fans and martyrs, ye poor feckers have suffering down to an art form and it's neatly personified by Voronin. Google threw up an '07 blog of yours about lovely Halle terrible football and for the first few paragraphs I thought it was todays' blog. An expensively assembled Rangers still sums up the 'pool. Long depressing season ahead lads but a nice quick exit from CL might shorten it for ye.

The wind has seriously been taken out of my sails this season thanks to pool's form, as evidenced by the blog, my enthusiasm grows for the international games then seeps away with each prem or champo league defeat.

Balloons, horrendous training regimes at international level knacking our best players and voronin, sweet jesus voronin... the humanity of it all.

At least gordon strachan has appeared on RTE's champo league coverage to pump some life back into it. Puts eamo in his box in a way souness only ever dreamed of.
